The Upper Deck

 This apartment boasts rough sawn barn wood and open beams. Large deck with amazing views of our mountain horse farm and phenomenal star gazing opportunities!  Pet friendly with a fenced dog yard. Only a few miles to Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt Rogers Wilderness area, Whitetop Mountain, the VA Creeper Trail, The New River etc! 

 Thoughtfully designed with modern touches in a rustic setting. This barn apartment brings you to your home away from home. Lots of windows for great afternoon sunlight. Two private bedrooms with attached bathrooms.  The king bedroom boasts a jetted Jacuzzi tub that is accessible from both bedrooms. The King and Queen rooms each have comfortable Tempurpedic Memory Foam Mattresses for a good nights sleep. The Queen has a softer option and the King has a more firm option.  The full kitchen is stocked with all your basic cooking utensils and staples. And there is a gas grill on the deck.  The living room is set with two recliners facing our gas log fireplace, perfect for reading in the cool autumn evenings. We also have a full sofa with full reclining options set to focus on the flatscreen tv with DVD player dish tv (basic channels) and hdmi hookup.  Also in the living area is a computer desk for your office away from home.  

You have a private parking area and private entrance to your space. The deck is private to you as well.  I live below you in a downstairs apartment so I am available for your needs but leave you to enjoy your vacation as you may wish.  I have 2 dogs that live with me downstairs so you may occasionally hear them or see them in a side yard below your big deck.

This apartment is pet friendly with a fenced in dog yard off the big deck so your pooch can enjoy some deck time and yard time with you! There is an additional fee per pet per night and pets must be pre-approved (sorry no in-tact males, it’s an all wood interior). 

This is a working farm. You may hear animals...horses, goats,donkeys, cows, chickens etc. You may also hear diesel trucks and tractors. We try to be mindful of the equipment noises on the farm but it is a working farm. 

AirBnB With YOUR Horse 

There are six horse stalls in the barn structure offered for Overnight Horse Boarding.  Each stall is a full 12x12 with indoor sliding door and dutch outside door. We also offer grass paddocks with run-in sheds for additional price.  Water faucet and hose in the barn and hitching posts out by parking area.  All horses must have proof of vaccines and current negative Coggins.
